Rev Derek Weir has stood down as Convenor for the vacancy of Lylehill Presbyterian Church, and, if anyone is entitled to a rest it is Derek, who recently celebrated his DIAMOND anniversary in Ordained Ministry. Notably, he served for nearly 40 years as Minister of Kilead & Loanends Presbyterian Church and also served as Clerk of Templepatrick Presbytery.
A spokesperson for everyone at Lylehill told The Church Page:
“As we approach the end of another year, so ends the Convenorship of Rev Derek Weir on 31 December 2024. He has been a faithful Minister to our Congregation both at Sunday worship and the many pastoral visits he has undertaken. We have been blessed by his presence and will miss him, although he does promise that he won’t be a stranger! A token of appreciation was presented to the Rev Weir before he left”
