‘From Ember to Flame’ – EMF Belfast Conference // Saturday 30 November 2024

‘From Ember to Flame – Revitalising Declining and Dying Churches’ is the theme of this year’s Belfast Conference that’s being organised by the European Mission Fellowship.

This will take place on Saturday 30th November 2024 at Stranmillis Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Belfast from 10am-1.15pm. (Tea and Coffee will be served from 9.30pm.)

Explaining a little more about the theme, an EMF Spokesperson told us: “The number of churches who are in decline as alarming. If nothing is done, then a number of these churches will eventually close their doors for good. But what can be done to bring new life to these dying organisations? The answer lies in church revitalization but what is this? How is it different from church planting? What are some of the challenges involved? Join us as we explore this vital but overlooked strategy for the re evangelization of our nation and our continent.”

Speakers on the day will include, Tobias Haslund-Thomsen, an EMF Worker in Denmark; Joao and Ana Cid, EMF Workers in Portugal, Steve Auld, Pastor of Great Victoria Street Baptist Church. There will also be video input from Brian Croft, Founder of Practical Shepherding.

Booking is not necessary. For further information, contact Phil Dunn, (EMF NI Representative) via phil.dunn@europeanmission.org – telephone 0745 0443 843.
