Cheque Presentation to the NI Hospice at Kilbride Presbyterian Church

Following on from the successful Cars and Coffee Morning held at Kilbride Presbyterian church on Saturday 22nd June 2024, the members were delighted to present a cheque to the NI Hospice for £2570.

This money will help the service greatly, especially the “Specialist Community Nurse” team. Pictured representing the Hospice are Julie Martin Community outreach fundraiser, Northern Ireland Hospice/Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice and Laura Johnston.

Rev Gareth McFadden, Minister at Kilbride, revealed why this charity means so much to everyone there:
“Laura is part of the Specialist Community Nurse team who have been working with and caring for Ted Turkington, a member of Kilbride Presbyterian. Ted wanted to give something back to the hospice in appreciation of their care. Dave Hoy and Ted got together to organise a Cars and Coffee morning which saw over 50 cars and 20 motorcycles and a wee grey Fergie turn out to support the fundraiser. We would like to thank all who attended or help to make the day such a success. Keep Saturday 21st June 2025 in your diary for a repeat event.”
