Radio Cracker Ballymena will soon be back on the airwaves! Their 2023 broadcast will start on Sunday 26th November and continue until closedown on Saturday 23rd December. You will be able to listen live from 26th on their website or in the Ballymena area on the radio at 107.6FM. The charity radio station, now in its 31st year, has raised over £1.8m which has been distributed to 200+ charity projects in many countries across the globe.
A spokesperson said, “We are looking forward to another 4 weeks of live broadcasts coming from our two studios, one in the Fairhill Shopping Centre and the other in First Ballymena Presbyterian Church. We are very grateful to both venues for the use of their premises, and also to the many local businesses and individuals who support what we do year after year.
“Each year we aim to raise as much money as we can to support our designated charities. All of them are working on various projects to show God’s love to communities who need the basics in life, eg clean water. You can see below the details of who we are supporting this year and we would ask you to be as generous as you can so we can fulfil our commitment to them.”
Radio Cracker shop
As well as the annual radio broadcasts, the Radio Cracker shop has become a huge part of their fundraisings efforts. If you’re in the Fairhill Centre over the next few weeks, look out for their shop selling lots of hand crafted goods, pre-loved items, Christmas cards, wrapping paper and so much more. We all have friends that are so difficult to buy presents for and never know what to get for them, well why not consider one of the three alternative gifts available in the shop – details on the sheet above.
Radio Cracker Carol Service
Radio Cracker would also love to see you at their annual traditional Carol Service on Sunday 17th December in First Ballymena Church at 8:15pm. You’ll have the opportunity to sing lots of the well known carols, listen to various Bible readings and hear a short message.
Radio Cracker hope you will tune in and listen to lots of the programmes brought to you by local volunteer presenters and don’t forget to call into their shop if you are in the Fairhill Shopping Centre. Connect with them on their Facebook page.
