Dr Michael Youssef will preach the uncompromising Truth of Christ—the only source of hope and the only path to eternal life. Michael was born in Egypt, where he became a Christian, and lived in Lebanon and Australia before moving to the United States.
While in Australia, Michael studied at Moore Theological College in Sydney, was ordained as a minister, and met his wife, Elizabeth. The Youssefs immigrated to the United States in 1977, and in 1984 Michael became a U.S. citizen. He earned additional degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary in California and Emory University in Georgia.
For nearly ten years, Michael with the Haggai Institute, travelled around the world teaching courses in evangelism and church leadership to church leaders. He founded the Church of the Apostles in 1987. He has authored more than 35 books, including The Barbarians Are Here, End Times and the Secret of the Mahdi, and Jesus, Jihad and Peace.
In 1988, Michael founded Leading The Way, a ministry in Atlanta, Georgia, with a focus on reaching Muslims in the Middle East. He is also the founding pastor of the Church of the Apostles in Atlanta.
Joining Michael in Belfast will be worship leaders, Aaron Boyd and Noel Robinson. Leah McFall will also be sharing her testimony and singing. There will also be real life stories and numerous resources to support you as you walk with God.
Barry Weir, who is co-ordinating the Belfast event, told The Church Page: “It is rare for an event to take place where Churches of all denominations can come together to be fed on and discipled in the Word of God. What is different about the Hope Ireland Celebration is that we want to actively partner with believers and Churches both before and after the night itself. It’s a great opportunity to invite your friends and family who don’t usually attend church. We have all been to evangelistic events where there is lots of great worship and several people make commitments to the Lord. While that is very good, our aim is to connect with those people for the long haul to see them planted in local Churches and discipled in the Christian faith.”
“Leading The Way’ make a commitment to the groups they connect with to remain present until at least 95% of the people they reach are firmly established in a fellowship and rooted in faith. Hope Celebration Ireland is also taking place in Dublin on Friday 1 September; again, Dr Youssef will be the speaker with Noel Robinson and the City’s Betania Choir leading praise. Surfer, John McCarthy will also be sharing his story. Free tickets for both events are available now at HOPE Ireland Celebration with Dr Michael Youssef.
