Members of the Timeless Theological Academy (TTA) are hosting a taster evening called ‘Building Your Faith by Practicing Good Theology’ in conjunction with Loan Mission Hall, Cullybackey on June 27, 2023, from 7.30pm.
Revealing a little about TTA, Communications Officer, Joe, said: “Whilst based in Ballymena, N. Ireland, we have a global student body. Evangelical and with a heart for mission, it is our desire to go into the entire world and make disciples of all nations. The fruit of this commission is to teach and seek to apply everything that Jesus has taught us. In fact, the whole of scripture is a testimony to the greatness, majesty, and love of our wonderful God. We are distinctly evangelical and for the sake of brevity and clarity, we endorse the basis of faith of the Evangelical Alliance. We are aiming to become not only a credible presence within Ireland, but one that works for the spiritual transformation of its students, and as a result, discernible changes within society.
“Our tutors are also keen students of the Word of God. As well as experienced practitioners in the classroom, they are actively involved in local churches and global missions. They bring to you a lifetime of learning and experience, post-graduate training, and a passionate desire to love God and their neighbour.”
The Taster Night will also include testimony and praise, as well as some good old fellowship and a questions and answers session.
Looking forward to this event TTA founder, Alistair said: “It is wonderful to get the opportunity to work along with the Loan Hall in promoting the true spiritual benefits of doing good theology. This isn’t about denominations, it’s about what we share together as evangelicals. We do have our different perspectives and our college recognises that diversity does not equate to disunity. Nevertheless, we are convinced that inspiring and encouraging people to become better students of God’s Word, will deepen their relationship with God and have a dramatic impact on how they live their lives. The Taster evening is open to everyone and no formal education is required.”
He added: “We are going to have a night of worship, ministry, fellowship, seminar introductions and of course some light refreshments. This will not be high brow, over your head kind of stuff, rather we are motivated by the belief that what you believe about God and how you practice it are critical. Over the seminar evenings in the Loan Mission Hall beginning on the Sept 5, 2023, we will be looking at what type of theology we should be constructing under the various headings:
- Planning Approval: The importance of thinking correctly, living right and feeling great.
- Laying the Right Foundations: The importance of our core beliefs.
- The Brickwork: Six Spiritual Disciplines.
- Rooftops: A Manifesto for Mission
“This is going to be a fantastic time, so why not join us at the taster evening a begin a journey of discover that might change your life. The event is free but donations towards the support of our ministry and mission is always appreciated but not required.”
