Death of Pastor Wilbert Dempster

Everyone at The Church Page was saddened by the passing of Pastor Wilbert Dempster last week.

Members of Ballymoney Elim Church, where he ministered faithfully on two separate occasions, were quick to pay tribute.

The congregation’s Facebook Page read: ‘On behalf of Pastor Paul Prentice, the leadership team and the church family here at Ballymoney Elim Pentecostal Church we want to extend our heartfelt condolences to Sylvia, Paul & Gail, Angela & Brian, Rachel, Sarah & Aaron at the sad passing of Pastor Wilbert Dempster.

‘Wilbert faithfully served the church here in Ballymoney Elim on two separate occasions, one around the beginning of his pastoral career and one at the end of it, when he ‘officially’ retired in 2002, although everyone who knew him would know that he continued to use his great gift and love of preaching, in mission halls and churches throughout the length and breadth of the land.
He was instrumental in leading many souls to the Lord during his long and distinguished service as a caring and loving Pastor and Evangelist.

‘A Service of Thanksgiving  was held on Sunday 28th May 2023 at 2.30pm in our church for his amazing life of dedication and service to the Lord and to the Elim Movement and beyond. He is now safe in the arms of Jesus.’
