Monday 14th February 2022
Ballymena Church Members Forum is a group of mainly lay Christians drawn from various denominations and Christian communities in the Ballymena area.
Jennifer McLernon, who chairs the Forum, explained more.
She said: “We have existed in our present form for over ten years with the objective of encouraging and strengthening friendship, understanding and shared worship within and between our denominations and traditions, with other faith groups, and with the wider community.
Our activities include working with Ballymena Ministers’ Fellowship in organising times for community worship during Advent, Lent and Easter; Conversations and small group discussions on current political, religious and social issues; day retreats; social evenings; community-based projects.”
Jennifer went on to say: “Our meeting places, both indoors and out-of-doors, depend on the event. When necessary, events are held on-line. Where finance is needed we draw funding support through Mid and East Antrim Borough Council or from voluntary donations.
There is no membership fee! We are delighted to see regular members engage and even more so when they bring along their friends. Our Management Steering Committee currently has seven members who meet monthly and collectively develop our programme of events and activities.
If you have not yet engaged with Ballymena Church Members Forum you are warmly invited to join us by Zoom at 8pm on Monday 14 February 2022. You will meet the Committee and other members and hear what we have done in the 12 months of 2021.”
