All over Northern Ireland, BB Companies are getting back to face to face BB meetings after over a year of Covid-19 disruption.
The programme is in full swing and part of that is partnering with charities to learn about their work and supporting them financially. This session the Anchors (P1 – P4) are learning about the work of Habitat for Humanity and raising much needed funds for the charity.
The company section (year 8 upwards) are supporting Hope 365 and taking part in various initiatives, including clothes collection to raise awareness and funds. BB companies have been supplied with a full resource pack to help them focus on this charity throughout the session. For example they can run a ‘BB The Change Big Night’; an entire BB evening with a varied programme of activities and badge work which will help the boys compare their lives with the lives of Street Kids in Ethiopia. Accompanying resource videos and Powerpoint presentations are supplied too. Company section boys also have the opportunity to volunteer with Hope 365 as part of their Queen’s Badge.
