Jeremy Sharpe, the founder of Linking Lives, will be holding a webinar for churches and interested individuals in Northern Ireland at 10am on Tuesday 23rd February 2021. The focus will be on loneliness and how we can respond effectively.
Now, more than ever, there are tens of thousands of people across Northern Ireland are facing loneliness and isolation. A recent report set out more information on this, along with a call for the Assembly to establish a loneliness strategy. You can read the report here.
So, what should the response of the Church be?
Tommy Stewart, Founder of Christians Who Lead, is pleased to be supporting this important event:
He said: “Many churches are already doing great work in this area but there is so much more that can be done. With this is mind, I am pleased to say that Linking Lives will be launching in Northern Ireland this year. Since 2012 Linking Lives has been providing a framework for approaching 100 churches across England, Scotland and Wales to address loneliness and isolation.” Find out more about Linking Lives on their website here.
Tommy continued, “I would love to encourage you and/or members of your church/team to register for this seminar and to consider how you can best serve the growing need in our local community of dealing with loneliness and isolation.”
