Just like it has been for all of us, 2020 hasn’t been a normal year for Radio Cracker. By now several fundraising events would normally have taken place, the Radio Cracker shop would have been open in Ballymena and the station would be live and pumping out music 7 days a week until Christmas Eve.
None of that can happen this year, but thanks to the Internet, you can still listen and donate to Radio Cracker online. A number of the presenters have been busy pre-recording their socially distanced shows at home! These are being uploaded on a daily basis and you can listen to them either on the Radio Cracker website or on the Mixcloud website or app.
You can see when the shows are posted, read Thought for the Day and also keep up to date with all Radio Cracker news on their Facebook page here.
If you would like a request or dedication played or you have a message for the station, you can leave a voicemail on 028 2563 9087 or leave a message on their Facebook page.
Radio Cracker are still accepting donations
As is likely the case for every charity this year, Radio Cracker’s fundraising opportunities have been greatly reduced, eg all advertising income stopped, no money raised through the shop and no other fundraising events possible. However they are still accepting donations online and by cheque – find details on the Donations webpage here. All money raised will go to ‘selected charitable causes which are helping overcome Covid-19 repercussions in Developing Countries’.
Radio Cracker hope you will tune in online and enjoy this year’s shows which include the usual eclectic mix and God willing they will be back in the studio next year as normal.
