The latest edition (May 2020) of the Church of Ireland Gazette has been made available to view for free online.
This edition of the Ireland-wide publication is packed with a range of fascinating articles about Anglican Church life and its members.
One of the most heart-warming pieces is a feature on Shirley Crutchley and Marie Anderson, two Church of Ireland parishioners who received Maundy Money from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
There is also an interview with Rev Alistair Donaldson, Rector of Kinawley and Holy Trinity Parish who is planning to run a ‘virtual race’ to maintain his fitness during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Nurses, doctors and various Church of Ireland Clergy also speak about the challenges faced by themselves and others as a result of the worldwide health crisis.
In a particularly interesting reflection, the new Church of Ireland Primate, the Right Rev John McDowell suggests that ‘we have a potential to model unity’ during the current situation.
Encouraging everyone to take a look at this month’s magazine, Editor of the Church of Ireland Gazette, Karen Bushby told us:
“We have once again made the Church of Ireland Gazette available free online as part of our outreach and ministry during the lockdown. Please take a look at our emagazine by clicking the link here.”
