Christmas at the Cathedral – Friday 20th and Saturday 21st December 2019.
World-class singers Peter Corry, Barbara Dickson and Patrick Smyth will be joined by the BSPA Voices for an enchanting show of seasonal celebration in the stunning setting of St Anne’s Cathedral.
Anticipating a magical couple of nights, a Cathedral spokesperson told The Church Page:
“Get into the Festive mood in the perfect surroundings of St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast with Peter Corry and special guests Barbara Dickson, Patrick Smyth (from Strictly Come Dancing) and the BSPA Voices. An evening of perfect music to get you in the right mood for Christmas.”
Premiering on Friday 20th, and with two shows on Saturday 21st December 2019, Peter is finalising the full line-up of songs. With Blood Brothers, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Elton John and the Greatest Showman in their combined repertoires, plus some seasonal favourites, Christmas at the Cathedral has the perfect Christmas experience and perfect present wrapped up.
Announcing the concert, Peter said, “Last year we celebrated 10 years of The Music Box, which originally ran in the Ulster Transport Museum and then the Waterfront Hall. It felt like the right time to create something new and look at a venue to capture the emotions of Christmas and the warmth an intimate venue like the Cathedral can bring.”
