The sun shone on more than 110 young people and youth leaders who all had a fantastic time at the annual Connor Takes The Castle Youth Weekend.
The diocesan discipleship weekend for young people aged 11 – 18 took place at Castlewellan Castle from September 6th – 8th, 2019.
Connor Youth Council put together a busy programme which included sessions led by The Big House; worship; small group time as well as outdoor activities. This included Soft Arrow Combat and Salt Factory Sports on the Saturday afternoon slot.
Activities also included a late night lake walk, discussion groups, the ever-popular Connor’s Got Talent, and lots of food and praise.
A couple of photos taken during the weekend show what a good time was had by everyone there. The first picture (above) shows the Archdeacon of Belfast, the Ven George Davision, who tried his hand at soft arrow combat during the Connor youth weekend at Castlewellan Castle.
The second shot (below) shows one of the Indoor sessions during the Connor Takes The Castle youth weekend.
