Wellington Presbyterian Church, Ballymena is the venue for Voices of Praise Gospel Choir 10th Anniversary concert. They are excited to be bringing this event to Ballymena on 24th November 2018, starting at 7pm.
The choir is made up of gospel singers from across the province who come together for an annual Evening of Praise.
The singers are from different backgrounds and churches. They came together ten years ago for their first evening of Voices of Praise in Carrickfergus never thinking they would still be holding this event a decade later. It demonstrates how popular this choir has become.
Music Director, James Strange, along with his sister Joy Boyd host this event. With live musicians this evening has become a highlight in the calendar of gospel music. Singing a mixture of great gospel songs from well-loved hymns like ‘Great Is Thy Faithfulness’ or ‘It Is Well’, to newer songs from The Gettys, Gaither Homecoming, Southern Gospel and Brooklyn Tabernacle to name a few. This event has a variety for everyone yet with one aim, to lift up your heart in praise and be touched with the wonderful presence of the Lord. It has often been said that the night offered a little touch of heaven.
This unique choir rarely takes on other events. They have however had the joy of supporting award-winning gospel singers here in Northern Ireland such as Lynda Randle and Karen Peck & New River from America.
