A ‘Living with Cancer’ event will take place at Portrush Presbyterian Church on Saturday 8th September 2018 from 10:00am until 3:00pm. ‘Living with Cancer’ is described as a ‘day away’ event for those on a cancer journey.
It will look at some of the key issues from the perspective of the Christian Faith.
Several people will participate in the day:
• Rev. John and Joan Kirkpatrick
• Rev. David Brown
• Dr Johnny Stirling
• Alison Mark
• Roz Stirling
• Rev. Ian and Anne Herbison
• Stuart and Julie Peake
A spokeperson for the organisers is encouraging everyone, for whom the day is relevant, to come along. He told The Church Page:
“Come with your spouse, friend or carer. There will be seminars for carers as well as those who are suffering from cancer. There will be time to relax and meet others who are going through a cancer experience.”
Although it is a free event, booking is essential to facilitate adequate catering arrangements. Please register as early as possible. To do this or find out more, telephone: 028 7034 2234 or email: Julie.m.peake@gmail.com
