It’s Easter 2018! We’re a day earlier than usual with our verse of the week but Easter Sunday is a very special day! We hope you enjoy all the special church services, Easter events or whatever you plan to do over the weekend. We’re taking a couple of days off too!
Also, we want to say a big welcome to all our new ‘likers’ of The Church Page on social media. Thanks also to everyone for all your shares, comments, likes etc. They are much appreciated and help us get the articles to a wider audience.
Here’s a few relevant verses from Luke 24 as we celebrate this special time in the Christian calendar.
On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb.
They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.
While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them.
In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead?
He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:
The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.”
Luke 24 v 1 – 7
We’ll be back on Wednesday 4th April with more church news, events, services etc. Remember if you want a story published for your church get in touch with either joeboyd@thechurchpage.com or ally@thechurchpage.com.
Have a great Easter everyone!
