Thrive, a group affiliated to Calvary Braid Valley Church, Broughshane are holding a Film Night on Thursday 15th March 2018. The venue is Broughshane House, The Hub, (first floor) 70 Main Street, Broughshane from 7:30 – 9:30pm.
A spokesperson for the group said,
“The theme for this next meeting is ‘Restoring’ when we will present the story of famous American actor Steve McQueen. We will watch the documentary style film ‘Steve McQueen – American Icon’. It gives a presentation of the gospel as seen in the life of the movie star. We would like to point out this film is very gospel-centred. This is a great opportunity to bring along your unsaved friends as we think of the theme of restoration”
A little taster of the content of the film –
‘Steve McQueen, one of America’s most endearing and intriguing movie stars, “is still the King of Cool” according to Esquire Magazine. On the surface, McQueen had everything he could want—fame, cars, homes, and more money than he could spend in a lifetime. Follow an avid fan of the actor, Pastor Greg Laurie as he hit the road in his mint Mustang (replica of McQueen’s car in the classic film Bullitt), traveling the country in search of the true, untold story of McQueen’s redemption-filled final chapters. Discover this amazing, true faith journey narrated by Gary Sinise.’
