Families are invited to come to Patrick’s Mysterious Adventure hosted by St Patrick’s Parish Church, Broughshane. Learn all about St Patrick and his adventurous life at this fantastic exhibition and interactive story trail.
The event will run from 14th – 17th March, 2018 and follows the success of a similar event held in Belfast Cathedral last year.
The event will compliment other activities going on in the village and surrounding area.
The exhibition and story trail is themed around the life of Ireland’s patron saint, Patrick. Live actors will re-enact the tale from Patrick’s capture by Irish pirates to his return to serve the people of Ireland that he loved so well.
Visitors will have the opportunity to connect with the life story of Saint Patrick, discover more about him and be inspired by his faith and faithfulness to God.
The programme for Patrick’s Mysterious Adventure at Broughshane Parish Church is as follows.
Events on 14th-16th March are for invited school groups and will be open from 10:00am-2:00pm. Invited primary schools from the surrounding locality will come along for an experience including the interactive story trail and two workshops.
On 17th March, Patrick’s Mysterious Adventure will be open to the public from 11:00am-4:00pm. Admission is free and everyone is welcome to come in and explore the trail. The exhibition can be explored independently or through a timed performance where actors bring the story to life.
As well as the interactive story trail and exhibition, other activities are also taking place. Visitors can enjoy performances of live Irish music and dance. They can also take part in craft workshops and have tea & cake in the café.
To keep the children entertained there will be plenty of activities taking place. These include a photo booth with costumes to dress up in, large indoor games as well as craft and colouring activities in the café.
