Dare To Jump 2018 – Rasharkin Presbyterian Church Hall – 9th to 11th February. A great youth outreach weekend for all young people of secondary school age and above!
This is the seventh year of the youth mission Dare to Jump held at Rasharkin Presbyterian. This year it takes place from Friday 9th February to Sunday 11th February 2018. It begins at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday and 8:00pm on Sunday night.
Organisers are pleased to welcome Mark Brown as the speaker this year. Mark is a Bible teacher and communicator. His passion is to see young people impact and transform their sphere of influence with the love of Jesus; as people grow in a deeper knowledge of God and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Mark will be speaking on the theme of identity; helping us to see from God’s word what we say about our identity; what God says about our identity and how we live when our identity is in Christ.
On Saturday night a member of the congregation, Megan Neill will be sharing her story about Gods work in her life. Megan is 18 and currently studying for her A levels at Cambridge House. Megan said about sharing her testimony;
“I have a real passion for the Lord and I never cease to be amazed at how he can work in the life of an ordinary teenage girl. I look forward to this opportunity to remind young people that our testimonies don’t need to be extravagant to be important, but that the grace of God is simply enough.”
Sunday night will see Simon Barr share about what God has been doing in his life. Simon is 25 years old and serves as a missionary for an organisation called Coaching4Christ. They go across the world bringing the good news of Jesus Christ through football. Simon says;
“My heart is to see a generation not only saved by grace, but enabled to live a life set-apart for Jesus. Excited to be part of Dare to Jump 2018 – and believing that the spirit of God will move powerfully throughout the weekend.”
Everyone is delighted to have local lads “Red Letter” back again to help lead the praise on Saturday and Sunday night. The Friday night will take a slightly different format to the other two nights. Friday will be an acoustic cafe and doughnut bar. Acoustic sets from Andy Calderwood, Red Letter and Marc Moody. Also Rachel Anderson and Suzanne Cubitt.
