St Colmanell’s Ahoghill is the venue for a New Wine Ireland initiative called The Worship Rooms. The Anglican Parishes of Ahoghill and Portglenone are the latest in our province to grasp this exciting project.
The event is on Monday 12th February 2018 from 7:30pm – 9:30pm. A time of worship and reflection will be hosted by the Parish Rector, Rev Gary Millar. Praise will be led by Zara Monteith. The venue is St Colmanell’s Church of Ireland, Church Street, Ahoghill, Ballymena BT42 2PA.
The Worship Rooms initiative by New Wine Ireland offers an opportunity to come into God’s presence and offer Him our complete focus and adoration. Similar events are taking place throughout the country. According to its website ‘New Wine Ireland is a movement of Churches working together to change the Island of Ireland.’
The Bible talks frequently about Worship, indeed God’s Word commands it.
Psalm 96, verse 6 says: “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!” (ESV)
Colossians 3, verses 14-17 continues: ‘And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.’ (ESV)
Come to The Worship Rooms at St Colmanell’s Ahoghill – Monday 12th February 2018 – 7:30pm – 9:30pm.
The Worship Rooms event is free, non-denominational and open to everyone! Although it is a ‘one-off’ night to begin with, others may be arranged in the future.
