Tickets are now available for Raise The Roof Choir in concert with Raise The Roof Higher. The concert at Ballymena Academy is on Saturday 29th April 2017 at 7:30pm.
Here’s a summary of what Raise The Roof kids’ choir have been doing.
Since September 2012 a team of young voices from all over the Ballymena area and beyond has been singing to raise funds to build a primary school for children in a remote war torn area of Uganda. A team from Raise the Roof made the trip to Uganda in July 2016 to visit the school project to date. In only 3 years the whopping target of £75,000 was met and even surpassed! That’s thanks in no small part to the amazing generosity of the people of Ballymena and surrounding areas.
With ever increasing pupil numbers the school in Uganda now needs to be extended. The first school block can only accommodate about 300 and currently many more children are waiting to attend. With the numbers of children and their families fleeing the border over South Sudan there has never been a greater need. They need accommodation, education and refuge in this region. This is our invitation to you – to partner with us in offering them hope and a future.
