The 2016 First Light Christmas Celebration at First Ballymena is on Saturday 3rd December 2016 at 7:30pm. The concert will take place in First Ballymena Presbyterian Church on Meetinghouse Lane.
Now in its sixth year, the First Light Christmas Celebration has become a very popular part of the local Christmas events calendar.
The concert has two main objectives. To celebrate the true meaning of Christmas in an engaging and inspirational way and raise funds for a good cause. Over the past five years, the event has raised £20,000 for a range of cancer charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie and Cancer Focus NI.
Proceeds from this year’s concert will go to support the work of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice. You will have an opportunity to donate to this worthy cause on the night.
First Light Christmas Celebration at First Ballymena Presbyterian Church takes place on Saturday 3rd December, starting at 7:30pm.
First Light Christmas Celebration is the perfect way to ease yourself into the festive season. Through music, the spoken word and audio visual presentation, you will be transported back 2,000 years to the first Christmas. A 60 person mixed choir, local soloists and an instrumental ensemble will perform material to suit all tastes. You will have a chance to sing some of your favourite carols too. The programme will include favourites such as O Holy Night and In the Bleak Mid Winter alongside a range of new material.
All this takes place within the enchanting, candlelit surroundings of First Ballymena’s historic sanctuary. With festive refreshments afterwards in the church halls this is a night not to be missed.
Tickets are NOT required but there will be a collection for the NI Children’s Hospice on the night.
