You can play your part in Global Outreach Day 2017. It’s being held on Saturday 27th May 2017.
Here’s a short summary of what the day is all about. ‘Imagine 100,000 Christians across Ireland on one day, sharing their faith and the story of Christ with one person each. What could happen?
Over the past few years, millions of Christians across the world have participated in the Global Outreach Day. Many have courageously shared the good news of Christ with friends, colleagues and neighbours.’
One of those behind the outreach in Ireland is Stu Bothwell, who spoke to The Church Page. “We are excited to launch an Irish Global Outreach Day campaign in 2017. It will be centred around Saturday 27th May 2017. On one day we’re seeking to equip and mobilise the whole Church to share the love and story of Christ in their communities.”
Many Churches and organisations across the island have found themselves dreaming about the possibilities of many people sharing the good news and the Church’s renewed embrace of Christ’s commission.”
Launch events are being held at several venues in preparation for Global Outreach Day 2017.
Stuart also said: “We would love to invite you to our launch gathering at High Kirk Presbyterian, Ballymena. An opportunity to find out more about the vision of Global Outreach Day. You’ll also be able to spend some time considering what you could do in your community on the 27th May.
You may want to come along with other key influencers from your Church. Invite other leaders in your town or city to capture the heart of the day.”
As well as Ballymena, other launch days will take place in the following venues –
- Carnmoney Church, Belfast
- Clooney Hall Methodist, Derry/Londonderry
- Enniskillen Presbyterian
- Emmanuel Church, Lurgan
- Lisburn Cathedral
