Ballymena Ministry Offering A Lifeline In Kenya

This is a report from a Ballymena ministry offering a lifeline in Kenya. A team from the Christian ministry, Life-line Ministries, have returned from a recent trip to the African country.
One of the travellers, Audrey Johnston, has penned the following article which reveals a little about when they did there.
Audrey writes:
“We were very excited about visiting the Narok area of Kenya. It had been four years since some of the team had been there before. For some of the team it was a childhood dream come true to visit the nomadic Maasi people for the first time. We had four days of ministry in schools, churches and crusades. Samuel and the team ministered to the children and youth of the churches. We praise God for the twenty-five people who responded to the call for salvation, and for the testimonies of healing. We had a testimony from a young Maasi woman for whom we had prayed four years ago on our last visit. After prayer she said that God had touched her and she never had the problem since. Praise God.

We then travelled seven hours by road to Kitale where we had five days of seminars and three days of children’s meetings. We were also invited to speak to the youth of Friends secondary school in Sirende. We saw God move by His Holy Spirit as Deirdre brought a word on the prodigal son and forty young people surrendered their lives to the Saviour.
On 15th August five of the team returned home and I must say we missed the love and fellowship we were having with one another.
The remaining team members travelled six hours by road to Koru township, two hours drive from Kisumu city. We encountered poverty which has to be seen to be believed, but in saying that, we saw the hand of God touch the residents of this township. People testified to being healed and many gave their lives to the Lord in crusades and night meetings which commenced at 10.00pm.
We then travelled four hours by road to Port Victoria, also a very poor area of Kenya. Several of the Life-line Kisumu churches came together for the four days of seminars, crusades and revival meetings. We can truly say that the church was encouraged by the six sessions of teaching on Joseph’s life and other words brought by the team.”

Wesley preaching at the Gospel Crusade in Port Victoria

A team from Life-line Ministries, a Ballymena ministry offering a lifeline in Kenya, saw God work in many ways during a recent trip to the country.

“In the crusades we saw peoples’ lives being changed as Wesley ministered the word of God. We had testimonies of instant healings from all types of ailments from head to toe! We give God all the glory!
In our final two days we met with many children who are sponsored through the ministry. One widowed lady, Molly Akinyi, could not hold back the tears as she publically thanked the ministry for supporting her and her five children, especially in the area of their education. One other man, Boaz Osida, thanked the ministry for supporting him during his time of sickness.
We return thanks to God for enabling the ministry to support pastors and their families, children with education and helping to pay for hospital bills etc.
On a sad note we were all shocked at the passing of Rosemary Mugaya, the wife of Pastor David Mugaya. We were able to attend the funeral and show our respect to Pastor David and the family circle in Kitale.
A new group called Life-line Fellowship is starting very soon. We plan to meet monthly in the Global Missions Centre, Paradise Avenue, Ballymena. The first meeting is on Friday 21st October 2016 at 7.30pm when our guest speaker will be Pastor Samuel Kawalya from Uganda. Further dates for this year are 18th November 2016 and 16th December 2016. We will welcome everyone interested in our work in Kenya.”
