Prayers of Blessing for Ballymena has become a regular monthly event which has now been held in several of the local churches. These prayer times are organised by Ballymena House of Prayer and everyone is very welcome to come along. They are for anyone with a heart and desire to see God work among the people of Ballymena, to have an opportunity one lunchtime per month to come together to pray as a group of Christians for the place we live and/or work – thanking God for all the blessings we have in Ballymena but also praying for the businesses and business owners, the schools, teachers and pupils, the council and people making decisions for our town, the employed and the unemployed, those going through a rough time and not forgetting the churches, church leaders, youth leaders, for those who attend the local churches and also pray for those who as yet don’t attend any church.
The next Prayers of Blessing for Ballymena – Friday 2nd October 2015 from 12.45 – 1.30pm.
The venue is St Patrick’s Church of Ireland – address and directions here. At this meeting they will be launching a new themed focus – Hosting His Presence, Releasing His Compassion, and will consist of worship, Bible readings and prayers for Ballymena town and surrounding area. You will be guided as to what to pray for, but is informal and there will also be a time for open prayer, normally in small groups, when you have the opportunity to pray corporately for issues you are aware of where prayer is needed.
The Prayers of Blessing for Ballymena team would love to see you at the next lunchtime meeting in St. Patrick’s Church on 2nd October and also at future prayer times as they move around the local churches covering several denominations. Please pass on the word and come along – even better, come with a friend!
