Social media has grown to become one of the most popular ways to keep in touch and connect with each other. While social media sites have many benefits they also have risks involved. The Church Page is hosting a Taking Care social media training evening run by PCI’s training team. This will take place in MCC Computers in Ballymena Business Centre, Galgorm, Ballymena BT42 1FL on Monday 17th November, 2014 at 7.30pm and will embrace the positives of social media and also highlight the dangers.
This Taking Care social media training evening would be of benefit to church leaders, youth leaders and parents who want to find out more about how to protect our young people who are using social media and support healthy relations in the online world. It looks at what our response should be as leaders, parents and the church. The Taking Care team have lots of experience in social media training as they have already run many training nights in different locations around the province. They use CEOP (Child Exploitation Online Protection) films and therefore do not recommend this night for anyone under 12 years old.
If you think you or someone from your church or organisation would benefit from this training night please click on this link where you can find more details, the contacts to register & simply let us know how many are coming.
