Prayer Time | November 2014
Since our last Church Page prayer time post at the beginning of October many of us will have attended harvest thanksgiving services either in our own church or somewhere else. God has blessed us so much this harvest time with fantastic autumn weather and a great harvest. Let’s thank Him for providing for us yet again. As the old hymn says –
We thank Thee then O Father, for all things bright and good,
The seed time and the harvest, our life, our health, our food.
There’s several Christian events happening throughout November which we can be praying for. Here’s a few we know of but if you know of other mission and local outreach events taking place please get in touch either by leaving a note on this site or on any of our social media pages as we would love to help spread the word.
Be Brave Women’s Conference at Causeway Coast Vineyard, Coleraine – happening on 7-8th November 2014. CCV say “This is a conference for EVERY woman who does not want to settle looking onto the adventure of life from the shadows but instead wants to experience living in the light and life of Christ – in abundance, in freedom, with faith and with the courage to BE BRAVE” Let’s pray that every woman attending will experience God’s blessing and freedom. Details of this event can be found here.
M14 – The new name for what was The Mandate – an all day conference for men on Saturday 8th November starting at 10am in The Spires Conference Centre, Belfast. Join with us as we pray for the speakers and those taking part at this event – Karl Martin & Dave Dickinson, the worship leaders and for those who will lead the various workshops in the afternoon. Let’s pray that God would work in a powerful way through this event as 100’s of men from many denominations meet together to worship God. Details of the day’s program available here.
The Farmer’s Mission at Ballymena Livestock Market, Woodside Rd – from 8th – 10th November starting each night at 8.30pm. Please pray for the speaker Mr Tom Saunderson as he talks about God’s love and other relevant issues to the farming community around the Ballymena area. The Farmer’s Mission event details here.
The final night of the Mental Health Issues in the Community talks takes place on 6th November dealing with the issue of anxiety and stress management. Let’s pray for everyone who has attended any or all of these evenings, especially for those looking for answers to issues in their own lives that they will see how it’s possible for God to transform lives. Also remember in prayer the follow up series of talks called ‘Keys to Spiritual Wellbeing‘ starting on 13th November in Ballymena North Business & Recreation Centre, Cushendall Road, Ballymena, again dealing with many key life issues from a Biblical perspective. To pray more specifically for this, full details of dates and topics of ‘Keys to Spiritual Wellbeing’ talks can be found here.
Finally, we would ask for prayer for the Taking Care Social Media training evening taking place in our own premises at MCC Computers, Ballymena Business Centre, Galgorm, Ballymena on 17th November at 7.30pm. We’re sure you’ll agree that internet usage can have it’s dangers and is something we as individuals and churches need to be aware of. Pray for those attending this training that they will be able to take what they learn back to their churches where they will be better trained to help and advise others in their congregations. Also we need to be praying often for our young people that they will be kept safe from the dangers the internet, particularly social media can bring. If you feel this training event would be beneficial to you or your church you can register here if you’re intending to come along.
