South American Mission Society – Friday Night Live
The South American Mission Society NI (SAMS) are planning a Friday Night Live event. It’s on Friday 2nd February 2018 at Craigavon Civic Centre between 7:30pm and 10:00pm.
Eagerly anticipating the occasion, a spokesperson for SAMS told The Church Page:
“You are warmly invited to Friday Night Live 2018…always a night not to be missed! There are exciting stories of God at work in South America. Refreshments afterwards will give an opportunity to meet old friends and make new ones! We are delighted that Pastor Cristobal Ceron from Santiago, Chile will be our main speaker. Look forward to seeing you!”
“South American Mission Society is committed to working in partnership with churches in the UK, Ireland, Iberia and South America. The history of SAMS can be traced back to the mid-nineteenth century. In the 21st century we passionately believe that the message in mission remains relevant even if a secular and pluralist worldview has become more prominent. We are enthused and thankful for the emerging opportunities and possibilities.”
Essentially, SAMS aims to resource Churches and communities with three main objectives in mind:
• Establish new working models in mission
• Facilitate training opportunities
• Support projects through partnership
God calls and sends us into our communities to participate in His mission. It demands identification without loss of identity. Mission goes beyond our comfort zones and enters other people’s stories, as Christ entered ours.
