Mr Huston Hoey, Clerk of Session at Glenwherry retires after 38 years. Senior elders of Glenwherry Presbyterian Church are pictured below making presentations to Mr Hoey to mark the occasion. Huston was ordained to the ruling eldership in Glenwherry Presbyterian Church on 26th June 1966. He took up the position of clerk in 1978. He has faithfully served His Lord and Saviour for 50 years as a ruling elder, 38 years as Session Clerk. After a bread and broth lunch on Sunday 20th November 2016, the Kirk Session presented Huston with a Bible to mark 50 years’ service as a ruling elder. Huston was also presented with a beautiful painting from the congregation in appreciation of 38 years faithful service as Session Clerk.

Mr Huston Hoey, Clerk of Session at Glenwherry retires after 38 years. The Session and congregation of Glenwherry Presbyterian Church recently marked this ‘momentous occasion’.
