First Ballymena Presbyterian Outreach Events
First Ballymena Presbyterian outreach events are getting underway for the autumn period. The congregation will be busy reaching into their local community with the message of God’s love.
They have just begun an outreach in partnership with the Godmodex Ministry, which will run on six consecutive Tuesdays. The Godmodex bus will be parked close to the homes connected to the former Army Barracks in the Desmense area between 7.00pm to 9.00pm on the evenings in question. Look out for the bus as it returns to this area on Tuesday 4th October and consecutive Tuesday evenings.
Talking about this particular outreach work, First Ballymena spokesperson, Stephen Lamont said, “The team will be running a children’s programme on the bus. We would also like to engage with adults on the estate through a prayer team, which will be based back at the Church.
Come and join us for fun, games, children’s crafts and much, much more. Look out for the bus!” smiled Stephen.
In addition, the Meetinghouse Lane congregation will also be holding their next ‘Engage’ service on Sunday 2nd October 2016 from 6.30pm in the Church Hall.
The theme will be ‘Free From…….’ and will consider the question, ‘what does it really mean to be free?’
Revealing a little more about what will be happening, Stephen Lamont continued: “This will be an all age service using multimedia to show what true freedom is. The meeting will include music and praise and will feature cardboard testimonies from some of our church family who have come to faith in recent years and months. We will also have a word from our famous puppets. People of all ages will be made very welcome.”
First Ballymena Presbyterian outreach events are underway for the autumn period. This includes working in partnership with Godmodex Ministry for 6 consecutive Tuesday evenings. Also an all-age ‘Engage’ service in the church hall and running the latest Alpha course featuring Bear Grylls.
The latest Alpha programme, featuring video input from Bear Grylls, is also currently running at First Ballymena every Monday evening from 7.30pm. Each session begins with a fellowship meal, followed by the film and then small group discussions. Again, everyone is welcome to get involved in this 12-week course. Simply come along on the night.
