Radio Cracker Ballymena’s 2024 broadcast starts on Wednesday 27 November

Radio Cracker Ballymena are getting ready for another 4 weeks of live shows as their 2024 broadcast is about to begin at 7:30am on Wednesday 27th November and will continue up to Christmas Eve. You can listen on 107.6FM on the radio or on their website – www.radiocracker.org.uk

It’s 32 years since Radio Cracker began in Ballymena, raising approximately £1.8million so far, which has gone to support charity projects all across the developing world.

This year the Radio Cracker station and shop are situated in Unit 58 Tower Centre, Wellington Street, Ballymena.

A spokesperson said, “The shop is a vital part of our fundraising efforts each year and it’s fantastic that both the station and shop are in the same unit again this year. If you’re in Ballymena we would love you to call in and support us. There’s a great selection of products to buy from like stocking fillers, hand knitted goods, Christmas needs like paper, cards, tags, etc and much more”

“We also have 3 Alternative Gifts available this year

  • £5 will provide blankets and bedding for war-affected families in Ukraine, supplied through Samaritan’s Purse
  • £10 will buy Bibles and Gospel materials so Samaritan’s Purse can share peace and love to those they distribute these to
  • £20 will fund life-changing cataract surgery in India via Second Sight. Imagine the joy of being able to see again!!!

“The four charity projects we hope to fund this year are Care For Cambodia, Life-Line Ministries, Mulyata Children’s Mission and Tanzania Christian Farm Development Trust. With your help and support we will be able to help these charities to bring hope to the communities they are working in by supplying the essentials of life, like clean water and providing suitable education for their children.”

Radio Cracker Ballymena's 2024 broadcast starts on Wednesday 27 November

The Radio Cracker Carol Service takes place every year and this year it will be on 15th December in First Ballymena Presbyterian Church at 8:15pm. This traditional service will include all your favourite carols and readings. As they have done for many years, Cambridge House Grammar School Choir and Band will join us to lead the worship. There will also be a message from Rev Emerson McDowell. Please come along if you can.

The spokesperson summed up by saying, “Thanks to all the businesses, organisations and individuals in the Ballymena area who support us every year. We’re asking you to do the same this year as we fundraise to make life more enjoyable for some of those in our world who need our help.

“So don’t forget to TUNE IN to Radio Cracker Ballymena from Wednesday 27th! Our weekday shows are a great mix of music, chat and craic and Sundays are 100% gospel music with the odd interview, chat etc. So get your radios tuned to 107.6FM or listen on our website.”
