The congregation of Ballymena Free Presbyterian Church is looking forward to two special services which will mark 40 years since the congregation opened its current building on the Toome Road.
These meetings will take place on Sunday 1st September 2019 at the regular worship times of 11.30am and 6.30pm.
The catalyst for the then new building was a Gospel Mission which was organized by the Free Presbyterian Church and took place in Ballymena Town Hall in 1975, when the evangelist was the late Dr Ian Paisley.
Minister Emeritus at Ballymena Free Presbyterian Church, Rev R J Beggs will be taking part in the services, recalling the history of the congregation from the time and how the Lord led them to the eventual building on the Toome Road.
Many souls were saved in the mission and continue in their walk with God both within the congregation and elsewhere.

Due to the consequent growth of the congregation, a new building was erected on its current location, having been the home of the congregation since 1st September 1979. A new Sabbath School complex was opened in March 2000 in order to facilitate the Sunday School and various children’s and youth outreaches.
Today, Ballymena Free Presbyterian Church continues to be “a Christ-focused and Bible-believing church, reformed in doctrine and worship; and committed by God’s help to spread the Gospel message far and wide.”
By the grace and power of God the work has gone from strength to strength under the ministry of the Rev John Greer, who was installed as Pastor on 31st August 2000.
