High Kirk Presbyterian Church is in Ballymena town centre, close to the Fairhill Shopping Centre and opposite the People’s Park. High Kirk Presbyterian Church aim is to be a welcoming church where people can grow as followers of Jesus Christ, and share that love in the local community and beyond.
We, as a church, show God’s love to others through our outreach ministries. Lots of our members involved in mission work both locally and abroad.
High Kirk Presbyterian Church run the following outreach ministries;
- Bags of Blessings.
Members of our congregation bring non-perishable grocery items to church each week. These are then placed in bags, collected by several local organisations, including the Simon Community and Women’s Aid, and distributed around Ballymena as the need arises. - Adult Language Class & Childrens’ Homework club
These classes are held simultaneously each week from 6.30 – 7.30pm on a Wednesday night. The Adult Language Class in Ballymena gives adults from ethnic minority groups a chance to meet in a safe and friendly environment where they can improve their understanding of English.
The Childrens’ Homework Club meets at the same time and is open to children of any nationality. If you would like to attend either of these classes please get in touch with Marie – 07792387153
- Films of Yesteryear
Films of Yesteryear meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7.00pm. It is a lovely time to relax, wind down and enjoy a bit of nostalgia! Watch a classic film, have something to eat and chat in the relaxing surroundings of The Oasis in High Kirk Presbyterian Church. - Beacon
The Beacon provides an opportunity for seniors in the local Ballymena area to meet for a meal and a chat in the Minor Hall at 12.30 on the second Saturday of every month.
