Northern Ireland Boys’ Brigade Announce ‘Legacy Badge’
The Northern Ireland Boys’ Brigade (BBNI) are partnering with Legacy for an exciting new programme for 2024/25 called the ‘Legacy Badge’. This is an evening that brings BB members and a father figure together, for a night of fun and learning together focusing on ‘Preparing for and Running the Race’ of life together, based on Hebrews 11 & 12. Legacy, a ministry of Exodus, was founded in 2022 and provides programmes for local churches to help faith and fatherhood thrive.
Bethany Smyth, the Engagement Officer, and Programme Co-ordinator for BBNI shares,
“We are delighted to Partner with Legacy to launch the ‘Legacy Badge’. We are excited about this programme and partnership with legacy and how it enables BB boys and a father figure to come, spend time and engage with one another.”
The Legacy Badge is a one-night programme with a few follow up challenges, enabling Senior and Company Section boys to spend quality time with a father figure. You will spend time exploring how we might prepare for and run the race of life. This is set to be an evening of challenge, conversation, and competition. A member of the Legacy team will facilitate the evening session at your location, followed by a few simple follow-on ideas for the father figure and boy to do at home. We’ll keep it simple, fun and faith building. A father figure simply being a male role model who has influence in the young person’s life.
Rob Fraser-Binns, Legacy’s Head of Programmes, said, “This is a really exciting time for Legacy as we partner with BBNI to launch this new badge, as we continue to see the advancement of God’s kingdom both through the local church and in households across Northern Ireland.
