Ballymena illustrator, Jennifer Davison has unveiled the cover of God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook, which will be available to buy in September. However, Jennifer was keen to contact The Church Page to offer our readers a sneak preview of her work.
She told us: “Two+ years, 400 illustrations (and that’s only the ones that made the cut) , 100s of emails, 92 stories, many meetings, hours of reading the bible, and just a few tears later…I can finally reveal the cover of God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook!“
“What an unbelievable privilege it was to work on this bible with Carl Laferton. It is hard to find the words but I really did pour my heart and soul into these illustrations. I worked day and night with the immense pressure of knowing the potential power these words and pictures hold. It was a huge responsibility and I felt every bit of it!”
Jennifer admitted: “There were moments of feeling overwhelmed and feeling inadequate but mostly my days were full of sheer joy and unbelief that I get to be a part of this.
“I will always be grateful for The Goodbook Company and André Parker for entrusting me with this very special project. And to my family for the words of encouragement that kept me going and for giving me the space I needed to get it over the line – a million thank yous, we did it!”
