An Advent Art display designed and constructed by Jenny Carlton on behalf of Ballymena Church Members Forum is open to view Mondays to Fridays during Advent from 10:00am to 12noon and 6:30pm to 8:30pm in All Saints Parish Centre, Ballymena.
Advent is one of the most important seasons in the Christian Calendar as it marks the time of preparation before the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ is traditionally celebrated.
Each of the four weeks of Advent has its own theme:
- Hope (or promise)
- Preparation (waiting or prophecy)
- Joy (peace)
- Love (adoration)
Jenny manages to capture each one in her beautiful display.
A spokesperson for Ballymena Church Members’ Forum told us:
