Christians Who Lead promote webinar on Loneliness and Isolation
Tommy Stewart, Director of Christians Who Lead, is promoting a webinar on Loneliness and Isolation.
Explaining more, Tommy told The Church Page:
“Now more than ever there are tens of thousands of people across Northern Ireland facing loneliness and isolation. A recent report set out more information on this, along with a call for the Assembly to establish a loneliness strategy. You can read this report here.
So what should the response of the Church be?
Many churches are already doing great work in this area but there is so much more that can be done. With this is mind, I am pleased to say that Linking Lives will be launching soon in Northern Ireland. Since 2012 Linking Lives has been providing a framework for approaching 100 churches across England, Scotland and Wales to address loneliness and isolation.
Jeremy Sharpe, the founder of Linking Lives, will be holding a webinar for churches and interested people in Northern Ireland at 10am on Tuesday 23rd February 2021.
In due course I will have an invite forwarded to you for the webinar and would hope that you or others you know could join the webinar and learn more about how the Church in Northern Ireland can be supported in playing its part in addressing loneliness and isolation.”
