Happy Christmas and thank you from The Church Page
As we come to the end of 2020, we firstly want to thank you all, our contributors and readers, for your support. It has certainly been a challenging year for all the churches, missions and others who have contributed to us over the years. But we praise God that even though buildings were closed and large gatherings could not happen, it wasn’t long before we were receiving information about meetings and events taking place on the Internet – Zoom, Facebook Live, YouTube and other platforms, while others used regular Drive-In events and so on.
It’s likely that online services and events will have to continue for a while yet, and we will continue to bring you news of those as we receive the details, together with all the other regular stories and articles we cover from churches and missionary organisations.
Finally The Church Page team would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas as we celebrate the birth of the Lord and Saviour of the world, however we also realise it will be a difficult Christmas for many and so we pray for those of you in the community who have been affected by the pandemic. Those who are isolating, those who have lost jobs or income, those looking after family members who have contracted the virus or those of you who are recovering from it. We pray you will all know the peace and comfort of God in your lives.
“Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” – Luke 2 v 10 & 11
We’re taking a short break and will be back with church news, articles and events from Thursday 7th January 2021.
