Ballymena Salvation Army ‘Caring in the Community’ outreach
Ballymena Salvation Army ‘Caring in the Community’ outreach project for 2019 has recently been launched.
Members of the Salvation Army (Ballymena Corps) have launched this year’s outreach project which involves the preparation of ‘hygiene packs’. (see photo) These are then donated to local care homes for the benefit of residents.
Doreen Armstrong, who manages the Salvation Army shop in Ballymena explained more, saying:
“Items such as shampoo, shower gel, toothbrushes, toothpaste, roll on deodorant and other essential toiletries are all included within these parcels, but we cannot provide them without the generosity of people in the town.”
You can help the Ballymena Salvation Army ‘Caring in the Community’ outreach by donating to their appeal.
“Anyone who is willing to support the appeal can do so by leaving items at the Salvation Army shop in Broughshane Street, Ballymena anytime between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Saturday.”
