Volunteers are needed for the Salvation Army Shop in Ballymena!
Their Broughshane Street premises are widely recognised as one of the town’s brightest and most widely used fundraising shops. It is impossible to pass the building without being drawn to the unmistakable red signage.
Volunteers are needed there to undertake a wide range of tasks. Both front of house and behind the scenes, there is definitely a job for you!
Volunteers needed for the Salvation Army Shop in Ballymena
Doreen Armstrong, who manages the shop told The Church Page:
“Helping in our store is a fun way of socialising. It’s especially good for retired people to make new friends – coming here gives them a sense of meaning again.”
She went on to say: “Our volunteers can also help with all the outreach we do from our shop. We also share many cups of tea and we love buns as well.”
The Salvation Army Shop in Ballymena is open from 10am-4pm from Monday to Saturday. If you can spare a few hours, why don’t you call into the shop and ask for details. It is situated at 22 Broughshane Street. Their telephone number is 028 2565 5233.
