Mission Possible report on encouraging Colombia trip
Mission Possible have sent us an update which includes an encouraging report on their latest Colombia trip.
Joe and Sadie Law have recently returned from an uplifting and successful trip to Bogota to see how the charity’s various projects are progressing. Mission Possible is based in Portglenone and they also have a charity shop in Strabane. All funds raised by them are used to support their projects which bring hope to many street children in Colombia’s capital city. They write,
Hope House 1 for boys –
During the last six months the Lord has richly blessed the work of Mission Possible in Bogota, Colombia. For example, in Hope House 1 for boys your support has helped transform the lives of boys such as Brian and Jeff. (pictured below) Both have trusted the Lord and you can see for yourself how their lives have changed from hopelessness and despair to an attitude of confidence and well being. Brian and Jeff are just two of the many boys in Hope House who have come to a saving faith in God.
Hope House 2 for girls –
We also thank God for answered prayers in Hope House 2 for girls and excellent progress in this Home. Despite the girls having come from very poor homes and having had traumatic experiences in their early childhood, with the help of the new Psychologist, they are making excellent progress. The standard of love, care and the quality of the home is such a blessing for these little girls.
Juan Rey Church/Feeding Centre
We were so pleased to be able to visit the Juan Rey Church/Feeding Centre which is built in a slum area of Bogota containing approximately 800,000 people. There was no gospel presence here until our Centre was built. But thanks to God, after many years of attacks from Satan, the Church/Feeding Centre is officially open and fully operational. Every weekend there is a Family Service where the gospel is preached by Pastor Julio Cesar and his team of Pastors. Many children from the area now enjoy a nutritious meal on a daily basis. They are told Bible stories and shown much of God’s love.
We end this report by quoting a statement made by one of the project leaders in our Foundation in Bogota.
“I want to say to you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you for all your help, your prayers and your love”
May we also take this opportunity to thank you in anticipation for your continued support as we donate £5,000 per month to rescue and feed many more little children who are referred to as: THE LAST, THE LOST AND THE LEAST.”
