High Kirk Church Ballymena – new church extension opening
High Kirk Church Ballymena will open their new church extension on Saturday 27th October 2018.
The building will be open for viewing and refreshments from 12 noon to 4pm. The official opening of the foyer and extension will be conducted by the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church, Dr Charles McMullen, at 2pm.
Also present will be Dr Russell Birney, the former minister, who will be opening the new minor hall. It is to be named the Birney Room in recognition of Russell’s 23 years of faithful service to the church. During the day there will be tours of the premises and attractions for the young at heart, such as a bouncy castle.
Everyone is welcome to the new church extension opening at High Kirk Church Ballymena on Saturday 27th October.
The current minster, Rev Norman Cameron said,
“We are delighted we are at the stage of this official opening of our new premises. High Kirk aims to be a church that serves the community as well as helping followers of Jesus to grow deeper in their faith. We are excited that the new premises enable us to help serve the local community even better through our Playgroup, our English language classes and now a food and clothing bank. We also hope in the future to provide a drop-in facility in our new welcoming and bright café space. All are welcome on Saturday to our new church extension opening.”
