Gospel Bus Ministry Ballymena unveils new Portable Tabernacle
Extra seating and an overflow room had to be used as the new Portable Tabernacle was opened by the Gospel Bus Ministry Ballymena on Saturday 13th October 2018.
Richard and Joyce Bell founded the ministry in January 2006. They recently took the faith-filled decision to open these larger premises when the Lord spoke to them and said: ‘Enlarge your coasts.”
Four weeks of intense prayer followed before God moved miraculously to provide this impressive new space. Included within it’s walls is a beautiful sanctuary, new toilets and kitchen.
They also have good storage space for food which is used as part of their Food For Today ministry. Through this, individuals and families going through hardship are given enough groceries to last for one week.
When he spoke at the opening of the tabernacle, Richard was careful to thank everyone who worked alongside him to erect the building. It arrived at their site close to the Seven Towers Roundabout just six weeks ago.
While noting the efforts of those who had worked until 2am in some cases, Richard also gave glory to God for his provision. He told members of the assembly that they were “sitting inside a miracle”.
Ministry through music on the opening night was given by Cherith Bell, Lucy Magee and Kezia from Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle in Belfast.
After an inspiring, challenging and occasionally poignant message from Richard, everyone enjoyed a hearty supper and time of fellowship.
Meetings and ministries which will take place at the new Portable Tabernacle include –
• Breaking of Bread every Sunday at 11:30am
• Evening Gospel Service every Sunday at 7pm.
