Christmas at Wellington Presbyterian Church Ballymena
Preparations will soon be getting underway for Christmas at Wellington Presbyterian Church, Ballymena.
Rehearsals for the Children’s Christmas Choir will begin on Thursday 9th November 2017. These will run from 6:15pm – 7:00pm for four consecutive Thursday evenings from the start date.
The purpose of the choir is to perform at special events over the festive season. All children of primary school age are welcome to come along, meet new friends and sing. Parents may enjoy a coffee in Cafe Aroma while they wait to pick their youngsters up.
Their first performance will on Saturday 2nd December 2017 when the Christmas Tree Light Switch On takes place at 6:00pm.
A well-known local personality will also be interviewed on that night. Soup and sandwiches will be provided for the grown-ups. The children can enjoy a yummy snack pack and an age-appropriate programme of activities.
A heart-warming Christmas Gift Day is planned for Sunday 3rd December at 11:00am. This will offer a delightful opportunity for children to bring a gift to the front of the Church. These gifts will later be distributed by the Belfast City Mission. Once again, the Children’s Choir will be performing.
Connections – a Christmas multi-media special event takes place on Sunday 17th December 2017 at 11:00am. The Christmas story is a life-changing experience and using drama, singing and visual displays, you can explore one of the greatest stories ever told. No previous Church experience is required!
The annual Carol Service will be held also be on Sunday 17th at 6:30pm. This traditional gathering will take you down memory lane as you relive the best songs from the festive period. Why not take a break from the fever pitch of Christmas shopping and rediscover the importance of this very special time of the year.
Finally, there will be a Christmas Morning Service on Monday 25th December 2017 at 10:30am. Everyone is invited to this relaxed, fun-filled service. Designed for all-ages, this will give you an opportunity to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas before you indulge in too much turkey and stuffing.
