We recently received the McCaw family Spring 2017 update. The family from Ahoghill are continuing to serve God full time in the Belfast City Mission Hall on Mayo Street.
The following article offers the latest news on their work in the province’s capital.
“And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance,
so that you may always have enough of everything…”
(2 Corinthians 9 v 8)
We begin this prayer letter by praising God for His abundant blessings to us, as a family! We are continually overwhelmed by God’s provision for us. It is a constant reminder that we are where God wants us to be – serving Him in Mayo Street Belfast City Mission Hall! Thank you to everyone who continues to support us financially, and to all who uphold us in prayer. We could not serve God without this backup!
Christmas 2016 was a busy period.
We praise God for His help over the busy Christmas period, that now seems so long ago! The Toy Appeal was well supported, and we thank everyone who gave to that. We were able to supply four needy families, with food and toys to help them have a better Christmas. This was a blessing for us, just to see how much they appreciated everything. Even through this little act of kindness, we have been able to help two of these families in other practical ways, which we feel is a big part of showing them God’s love. All our Christmas parties went well, with the kids, and adults, having lots of fun. Our Christmas Kids Club was really well attended, and it was lovely to have our Summer Kids Club team all together again.
Our Carols by Candlelight service brought a few people in who wouldn’t normally be there, but it was disappointing, as we had put flyers into 1000 homes!!! We know however that God had there who He wanted, and we praise Him for the ones and twos!

Plans are underway for our Summer Kids Club again this year, which will be from Monday 31st July to Friday 4th August 2017 (DV).
Since the beginning of 2017, Mayo Street Sunday School, Mums And Young Ones and Kids Club continues to thrive, with new faces each week, which is a great blessing! Prayer Meeting/Bible Study and Sunday Services have also some new faces, which is also a great blessing, and we praise God for that.
It is hard to believe that by the time we send out our next prayer letter in June, all our Kids activities will be over for another term!!! Therefore, please continue to remember our Kids Club, Mums And Young Ones and Sunday School in your prayers, and as we plan trips away for each, that we will have enough finance to cover the cost.
An “Evening of Praise” by Proclaim Youth Choir, Ahoghill, will be held on Friday 12th May 2017.
This is to raise funds for our Sunday School trip to Bangor, so put it in your diary. A warm welcome awaits you all at Mayo Street Hall!
Recently we have started up a Facebook page for Mayo Street. This has already proved a great success. It is also linked to our website, so please have a wee look on our site here. Also any time you are free, please call up to see us at Mayo Street. We just love having friends drop in, now and again, to show us their support!”
