Exciting times for Scripture Union in Ballymena
There’s lots happening with Scripture Union in Ballymena at the moment!
Joel Hutchinson has recently joined Ballymena’s existing E3 Schools Worker, Rachel Sheppard working two days a week while Rachel co-ordinates Alpha in schools.
Over the next few weeks, Joel will be out and about in schools taking assemblies, RE lessons and SU groups. You might even see him in your Church, taking part in Sunday Services or Prayer Meetings.
Talking about his new role, Joel enthused: “I am thankful for how God has used Scripture Union to develop the passion to share the Good News of Jesus over the past ten years; as a school pupil, a Camps and Missions volunteer and as a Youth Worker in schools’ ministry.”
“I am looking forward to being part of what God is doing in the schools around Ballymena and to draw alongside pupils and teachers encouraging them as we prayerfully seek God to equip us and use us in His work”, Joel added.
He also said: “As a part-time Family & Youth Pastor, I also have a desire to encourage Churches as they seek to bless their local schools and to support children and young people as missionaries in their schools.”
