Situated right in the heart of Ballymena town centre, Ballymena Elim Church can be found on Castle Street, just a couple of minutes walk from the main shopping streets and close to the Northern Regional College.
The Elim Church Ballymena is a nurturing home for those who are already members and a welcoming open door to everyone in the local community. Ballymena Elim Church outreach ministries cater for all ages as we aim to be a community of grace and reach out to as many as we can in the town of Ballymena.
Here are a few of the activities Ballymena Elim Church run where we can show God’s love in a practical way and also give people an opportunity to hear the great news of the gospel:
- Alpha – Starting in February 2015 on Wednesday evenings, the Alpha Course is a great opportunity for all ages to come together for a meal followed by a short talk, then a discussion time when you have a chance to ask any questions about God, the church, the Bible or any other questions or queries you have regarding the Christian faith. - The Storehouse – as the name suggests The Storehouse is where members of the congregation can donate groceries each week, such as rice, pasta and tinned foods. These are then bagged up and taken to homes and distributed to services where the need is great. A very practical way of showing God’s love for others in need. - The Evergreens – A great place for the seniors in the church and local community to spend some time together. The Evergreens meet once a month for a meal together along with a talk and some fellowship.
- Ballymena Elim Parents and Toddlers – this group meets every Wednesday morning during school term from 10.30am to 12 noon. As well as being a place for the children to have some fun it also gives the parents a chance to get together for some fun, fellowship and a chat.
